Episode: 1996 Stimulation and Hydraulic Tests Soultz-sous-Forêts

The 1996 hydraulic programme at GPK‑2 included a production test, a major re‑stimulation injecting 28 000 m³ at rates up to 78 L/s, a stepped injectivity test, and two short circulation experiments between GPK‑2 and GPK‑1. Around 7 500 microseismic events were detected, with about 5 700 successfully located.

Microseismic catalogue with moment magnitude of the downhole network from CSMA - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1996 Stimulation

Microseismic catalogue of 3464 events recorded by the downhole network during the 1996 Soultz‑sous‑Forêts stimulation. The dataset covers only the stimulation phase and a few days after, with almost no events at low flow rates and a strong increase in seismicity during the 78 L/s injection stage.
