Episode: 1994 Hydraulic Tests Soultz-sous-Forêts

Description

In June and July 1994, the hydraulic experimental programme consisted of a production test and an injection test at GPK1. During the production test in June, EPS1 was used as injection well. A total of 6200 m3 of fluid were produced during the test. Then the injection test in July was intended to determine the injectivity of the stimulated fracture system as a function of the flowrate. A total of 9600 m3 of water were injected at various flowrates during the test (Baria, R., 1996.The European HDR programme 1992 - 1995).

- Injection test at GPK1: from 11:06 05/07/94 to 14:56 13/07/96

Dataset

Hydraulic data from GPK1 and EPS1 were recorded during the 1994 hydraulic programme, covering production and injection tests. Five datasets include wellhead and downhole measurements from mid‑June to mid‑July 1994. Some time periods are missing in the downhole GPK1 and EPS1 files.

Microseismic catalogue of the downhole network from CSMA - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1994 Hydraulic Tests

Dataset

This catalogue contains 211 microseismic events recorded at Soultz‑sous‑Forêts during the 1994 production and injection tests (16 June–11 July). It provides event time, local coordinates, and WGS84 locations. 143 events overlap with another 1994 catalogue, with 26 location differences likely due to different relocation models.

Microseismic catalogue with moment magnitude of the downhole network from CSMA - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1994 Hydraulic Tests

Dataset

This catalogue contains 150 microseismic events recorded at Soultz‑sous‑Forêts during the 1994 production and injection tests (17–27 June). It includes local and WGS84 locations, P‑ and S‑wave amplitudes, source parameters, and moment magnitude. 143 events overlap with another 1994 catalogue, with 26 location differences likely due to different relocation models.

Microseismic downhole network - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1994 Hydraulic Tests

Dataset

The 1994 microseismic network at Soultz‑sous‑Forêts used the same setup as in 1993: three 4‑component downhole accelerometers (in wells 4550, 4601, 4616) and one hydrophone in EPS1. Event locations use a local UTM32‑based system centered on GPK1, with WGS84 coordinates derived from these local values.

Temperature logs - Soultz-sous-Forêts 1994 Hydraulic Tests

Dataset

Temperature logs were acquired in GPK1 during the 1994 campaign, with depth in meters and temperature in °C. Measurements were taken on 6 dates in June (including two logs on the 26th) and 4 dates in July.
